Colgado Por Ligereza

Many high school and university graduates decide to head on a gap year either in between school or uni or after completing their tertiary education. In that regard, my path was no different. Pretty special though was the opportunity of reflecting on my travels in a solo exhibition at my penultimate destination: Peru. I was invited to hold a solo show by the curator of the Galería Chavez de la Rosa in Arequipa, Peru's second largest city and situated in the South of the country just on the outskirts of the Atacama desert.

On 30 metres of canvas I journaled my path thus far, presenting the resulting work suspended from the ceiling. "Hung for Lightness" is the English translation of the exhibition's title.
