The Lighthouse Keeper

Eddie lives alone on a little island way out to sea. He is set in his ways and likes his routine. But one day a message in a bottle arrives and turns Eddie's life upside down. The illustrations reflect this change by slowly adopting a pointillist style, which is much more nuanced and detailed than the simple black and white images the story starts out with.

The visual development of this proposed picture book beautifully underscores and enhances Eddie's personal journey and ties all the storys' elements together.
